The Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple Kumbabishekam is a significant occasion in the cultural and spiritual life of Madurai. Bringing together devotees from across the world, it is a celebration of devotion, tradition and the enduring bond between Madurai and its beloved Meenakshi Amman.
The Kumbabishekam marks the spiritual rejuvenation of the temple following years of restoration. With 186 renovation works across the temple complex, the gopurams, mandapams, prakarams and sanctum structures have been renewed for this auspicious occasion.
